Adding solvent or other paint thinners in VOC compliant states (as Mass.) to approved stains violates EPA laws and can have serious consequences.

Agree. Will only consider them if the property comes with a deck or a wood sided home. Too many angle surfaces and too much time to complete properly. Just like a pergola!
