TOPIC: AC Sierra Redwood Semi

AC Sierra Redwood Semi 1 Month, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Anyone have any photos of this color I could borrow for a bid? Customer knows I don't apply this color but wanted to see how it looks on a deck. I'm not claiming these as mine, just gathering pictures from other contractors for this particular customer. If you have it on Pressure Treated Pine that would be ideal but anything is better than nothing.

I appreciate any help!

I drove back by to check how this deck dried, two coats applied it really finished out nice. Its a neat look with the white rails and the blue furniture they have...very patriotic feeling haha!

We ended up doing a second coat the day following the first coat. The sierra redwood applies very very dark...almost scary. We applied the first coat in the evening in the shade so absorption was slower and I assumed it had taken enough oil. The next day the deck was very light almost bare in spots so a second coat did the trick.

Charlie,

Wow, that is one vivid color! Not suitable for every deck but you are right, it kind of just goes with the white balustrade/siding and blue furniture.

Abit late now for ya but my AC contest pics here on this site and a pic on the AC site are of Sierra Redwood...I too have just recently had to go back to a job for a touch up. Even though I been brushing decks lately I guess my help crew that day went abit thin.

ps- I agree with Rick that it not right for every deck but it goes well on that job due to the blue furniture/pastel color matching going on... Personally though I like the pigment coverage of the semi solid colors.

May end up doing a 50/50 sierra redwood and cedar semi trans tomorrow so we will see what that looks like. I liked the way the deck posted above turned out...but normally I've never been partial to the reds on PT...so toning it down with cedar should be an ok compromise for me.
