The IPE deck board used for the test was 9 months old and taken as s sample from a deck under construction. The board was kept in the shop for the entire time and never exposed to the elements. The board was lightly cleaned and neutralized prior to staining.

The reason for the longevity is the greatly increased amount of red transparent iron oxides in the formula.

This is a sample of a test board exposed to the Arizona sun at 5500 feet elevation with a southern exposure. The test board has had nine (9) months exposure with little perceptible color change. I will send additional photographs in month ten (10).

What this proves is that A.C. is an excellent product for dry/hot climates loaded with UV. I'd like to see these tests done in more humid more northernly climates with loads of snow during the winters.
