Wood Resoration is my passion, Armstrong Clark quality stains are a beautiful finish to my jobs. This 6yr. old Redwood deck in Danville, Ca. was stripped, prepped & finished with Cedar toner with a little Redwood toner added. (4 to 1).

Beautiful prep and result Lyle. The longer I am involved in wood restoration, the more I believe that initial prep before staining is key to final appearance and longevity, no matter what stain is applied.

What a terrific view from that redwood deck! Sure looks better than NJ in the winter...

Rick, you are so accurate on the prep, good prep = good results with most any quality finish.

Prepping has always been the key to Deck Restoration. That is why we strip and brighten every time. Clean bare wood IMO always stains better!

I run the 17" maintainer with the Osborne type brush or defelting pad on it over every job. The brush takes off that top layer to open pores & give good color & penetration.
