Here are the photos of the cedar house we did with Armstrong Clark, in Super Cedar. This job has both cedar and ipe, the widow's walk on the top of the house has ipe rails, and house has two ipe decks. The house had to be stripped in some areas and washed in others, to correct a botched contractor job. The builder used the wrong fasteners which bled on both the cedar and the ipe. He also sealed in dirt and hand and foot prints in the planks he installed on the home and sealed over them. Our client is extremely happy with this result.

Beth,

That Super Cedar A-C color is just gorgeous on that cedar siding. Real nice job.

Thanks Rick! This was a real challenge for sure. The terrain by the bay window was extremely hard to work with, the tree was in the way of the ladder. There was a terraced garden too. The widows walk up top had ipe rails and a cedar wall which you can't see. The roof was tiled...using the wrong grade of tile which was flaking and splitting. There was electricity up there, but get this NO ACCESS. The builder had not planned that, and so today unless you have ladder you cant access the roof deck. They are planning to build access from inside the home down the line. The poor ipe deck....not only did they use the wrong fasteners but they miter cut the boards on the other two decks (not shown) and then in spots they caulked the corners. The builder really had no clue about building decks correctly.

Only the back of the house was exposed cedar. Best part of the house.
