I chose this deck not for the scenery or size. It is what I consider a true restoration. Homeowner was quoted nearly $14,000 to replace this deck. The cedar 5/4 handrails were warped. The rails were coming apart. The deck was coated with several layers of acrylic that was peeling. The bench was so wobbly, it was a hazard to sit on. For a third of the price we were able to replace all handrails with 2x6's (and all floorboards marked with an "X"), tighten or refasten the handrail posts, fix the bench, re-square the gate, strip, sand and reseal with a custom Armstrong blend. The last picture shows the gratitude of the homeowner who was a very sweet lady. Sometimes it isn't just the prettiest jobs that are the most satisfying.
