We have been using a variation of this flyer for 30+ years.

IT IS THE ONLY ADVERTISING WE HAVE EVER USED!

Keep in mind, the newspaper will do all the design, layout and printing of the flyer (you can have their finished product printed elsewhere, however, in most cases they are usually much less expensive).Just supply the photographs and give them a general idea of what you are looking for, and they will take it from there and work up several designs for your approval. There is no charge for the design work.

We use local publications, and as I stated, we pick a day when we are usually the only flier in the paper.

The cost varies widely. For example, here in the Prescott Courier (Circulation of 50,000+ the cost on 60# glossy paper runs about $750/week. In Kansas City we paid $2000/week for a circulation of 500,000.

Initially the response will not be all that great (Although it will usually pay for itself many times over immediately), however, as with any type of advertising, repetition is the key. This flyer is the ONLY advertising medium we utilize.

Mark, happy to be able to help you out with the picture of the cabin in the lower flyer above. Darryl has been a loyal customer for several years here in Ellijay, and I know he'd be happy his house was helping demonstrate good wood protection techniques all over the US.

Here's the link for those of you that want to see the rest of the project!

"I have had the good fortune to know and learn from Mark Smith for the past 6 years. Whether the subject is business or craftsmanship in exterior wood restoration, Mark's advice and guidance has been invaluable and just dead on."

It has been my great fortune to have been introduced to the 'oldest woody in the world', Mr. Mark Smith. Through his sharing of hard earned experience and insight, my business is able to deliver results my competitiors can only dream of. Mr. Smith has valuable knowledge to share in both the trenches of wood restoration and the sales approach. As he will tell you, you have to follow through with good advice and implement what you learn.
